Medical Marijuana in Missouri
On November 6, 2018, Missouri voters passed Amendment 2, legalizing the medical use of marijuana for qualifying Missouri patients. Amendment 2 became Article XIV of the Missouri Constitution, effective December 6, 2018. Thus, the Section for Medical Marijuana Regulation (SMMR) was created to oversee the Medical Marijuana Regulatory Program (MMRP). The Missouri SMMR requires the use of METRC for seed to sale reporting.

Citizens of Missouri passed Amendment 3 in 2022. This Amendment legalized cannabis in Missouri for recreational purposes. dispensaries should be approved to sell marijuana to consumers by February 6, 2023.
