However, in 2021 the initiative was invalidated by the Mississippi Supreme Court. In 2022, the Mississippi governor signed Senate Bill 2095, making medical marijuana legal immediately. The Mississippi State Department of Health is developing the Mississippi Medical Marijuana Program based on SB 2095. Applicants should start gathering information for their applications immediately.
