Nunavut Canada Cannabis

Nunavut Canada territorial cannabis legislation consists of the Cannabis Act and the Cannabis Statutes Amendments Act.  Both were passed on June 13, 2018.

Who Oversees Nunavut Cannabis Regulation System?

All distribution of liquor products authorized by liquor licenses and special occasion liquor permits issued under the Liquor Act are liable to inspection by Nunavut Liquor Enforcement. These inspections, also known as spot checks, are to ensure adherence to the Liquor Act and Regulations. Inspections are carried out by trained contract inspectors. Any infractions observed are brought to the attention of the Chief Inspector in Iqaluit, who reports to the Manager of Enforcement and Inspections at Liquor Management headquarters in Iqaluit.
