North Dakota Medical Marijuana

In November 2016, voters passed an initiated measure known as the “North Dakota Compassionate Care Act“. On April 18, 2017, a new North Dakota law became effective requiring the implementation of a Medical Marijuana Program allowing for the production, processing, sale, and dispensing of usable and medical use marijuana.

Who Oversees the ND MMJ Program

The North Dakota Department of Health (NDDoH) was established to implement a Medical Marijuana Program allowing for the production, processing, sale, and dispensing of usable, and medical use marijuana. Since the effective date of the new state law, the NDDoH has been committed to implementing a well-regulated program that protects the health and safety of qualifying patients and the public.

North Dakota Medical Sale Restrictions

The regulation of marijuana sales has defined purchase limitations for consumers. These limitations are outlined in the North Dakota Dispensary Standard Operating Procedures.
