The SOP's are procedure specific to operation that describes the activities necessary to complete tasks in accordance with marijuana industry regulations, provincial and federal laws. SOP’s are policies, procedures and standards to be presented and submitted to regulatory agencies that defines the expected practices of your business where quality standards and record keeping processes exist.

In 2000, Nevada voters approved medical marijuana by ballot initiative. The Medical Use of Marijuana Act NRS 453A.120 enabled the use of medical marijuana in Nevada in 2001. These laws allowed qualifying patients to apply for registry identification cards to use medical marijuana for certain chronic or debilitating conditions. In 2013, the Legislature approved Senate Bill 374 (Chapter 547, Statutes of Nevada), directing the Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH), Department of Health and Human Services, to develop regulations and authorize licensed and registered establishments to produce, test, and dispense medical marijuana and marijuana-infused products. There may be a total of up to 66 licensed and regulated dispensaries in the state. Medical Patients will be taxed differently than adult use and will have access to higher dosed cannabis packages.
